I graduated from a little hickville highschool in 1980, and like alot of people, I was tired of school, so I joined the work force rather than attend college. One cold morning Dec 14th 1982, while standing on the side of a house I was remodeling, feeling nothing below my knees or elbows, I decided to re-evaluate my previous decision made in haste. "I'm going to College", I said to myself. I graduated from the University of Houston in 1989 with a B.S. in Biology. Considering the limited possibilities with this degree, knowing that my choices were only in doing research or continuing with school, I opted to go to work for Compaq Computer Corporation in 1990, rather than pursue the illustrious career of shaving monkies butt's in the name of scientific research.
I started getting on the internet from Compaq in early 1995 and found myself accessing IRC from home with my own account. My first IRC experience was on Efnet and I realized that I did not belong there. I stumbled onto Dalnet and like a good newbie, soon found myself lurking on the #newbies channel. Finding the Ops and patrons on #newbies to be the friendliest people I have met on IRC, and being a smart boy I stayed and have made #newbies my home on the IRC with all my wonderful brothers and sisters.
